How to Add Documents to Google Calendar

Inly allows you to quickly add events and document details directly to your Google Calendar - so nothing slips through the cracks.

Option 1: From the Confirmation Screen After Sending

After completing and sending a workflow to a client, you’ll see a confirmation screen that looks like this:

In the calendar section, select:

👉 Add to Google Calendar


This will automatically create a calendar event using the details from your workflow - including date, time, and client information.


Option 2: From a Client Record

You can also add the calendar event at any time from the client’s record.

  1. Open the client profile in the documents section.

  2. Click the three dots to open the menu.

  3. Select "Add to Calendar."

  4. Click "Add to Google Calendar" button.

Option 3: Add from the Calendar View

You can also add any event while viewing the Inly calendar.

  1. Go to the Calendar tab.

  2. Click the event date you want to add.

  3. Click the three dots to open the menu.

  4. In the pop-up window, select "Add to Calendar."

  5. Click "Add to Google Calendar" button.


What Gets Added to Google Calendar?

When you add an event, the following information is included automatically:

  • Event Name

  • Event Date

  • Client Name

  • Client Email

  • Link to Flow:

  • Summary of Documents Included


Troubleshooting

❓ I don’t see the Google Calendar option.

Make sure:

  • You are logged into your Google account in your browser.

  • Pop-ups are not blocked.
    (Chrome: Settings → Privacy & Security → Site Settings → Pop-ups & Redirects)

❓ The wrong Google Account opened.

Click Switch Account when prompted, or log out of the browser profile before trying again.

Users can only add events to the calendar that is connected to google during setup. Please double check you are connecting the correct google account during setup.
