Here are the steps to create, and send an invoice through inly.ย
1. Select the "+" icon located in the upper left corner
2. Choose "Invoice" from the list of document options.ย
3. Create a "New Client" or select an "Existing Client" to send your invoice.
4. If this is for a new client, the option to toggle, "Add Client Address" is available when inputting their information.
5. Add the Project or Event Name, Event Date, and Event Location.
6. Click on the image icon in the center of the window to upload a custom cover image or upload an image from your desktop.
7. Inly offers an entire catalog of free images for cover photos and if you click, "Search Free Images" you can type in exactly what you are looking for.
8. Once an image is selected, it will automatically show a preview for desktop and mobile. If you'd like to see the client preview for mobile, tablet or desktop click, "Preview Cover."
9. Now you can begin creating your invoice! When you click "Next" the Menu will turn green on the left-hand side which, indicates that there are no issues, and you can proceed. If it is Red then you will need to recheck that section, and fix the error in order to move to on.
10. Fill out the Invoice with the charges for the client. Additional items can be added by clicking the "+" icon.
Discounts can be added to any invoice by clicking, "+ Add Charge" and filling in the discount amount in $ or the % off.
11. Tax rates can be entered by toggling on "taxable" which is located under the line item total.
12. Once the items have been added, the next step is to create the payment schedule. The schedule can be fully customized, and if a payment has already been made, the corresponding "paid" toggle can be selected.
13. When this is completed, the next step is to choose the payment methods a client can use for this invoice. With inly PRO Cash/Check, and passing processing fees can also be enabled.

14. Next "Payment Reminders" can be customized for your invoice. To delete a reminder, hover over the top-right of the section and click the "-" icon.
15. inly PRO includes a "Tip" section for your invoice and this can be enabled by selecting "Yes, enable tip."
16. If a tip is enabled, then the dropdown menu can set the tip amounts based on a percentage or a fixed amount. To edit either the percentage or fixed amount, click on the number and customize the input.
17. After clicking next, the invoice is ready to be sent! To add another recipient for the invoice, click the "+" icon and enter their name + email. Customize the message for your client and then click, "Send."
18. A confirmation that the invoice was sent will appear, and you can view the flow, create a template from the invoice that was just sent or return to the client.
19. When you return to the client, notifications will be displayed that the invoice was sent, and the message you included will be shown.
